Adventure Camp was Awesome!

IMG_0849Well we survived another Adventure Camp at Old Ben Scout Reservation, and I have to say that this was one of the better ones. Despite the hot weather and the monsoons the first evening, everyone had a great time. If you’re not sure what Adventure Camp is, briefly it is a 3 night primitive camping experience with two full days of activities including BB Gun shooting, Archery, Swimming, Boating, Fishing and other various activities. Boys that attended completed several achievements from their books and earned a few hard to get Belt Loops along the way. I want to personally thank the outstanding group of parents of the seven boys from our unit that attended. It shows a deep commitment to your son to stick yourselves in a hot tent for three nights! Hopefully, the good memories you and your son brought back are well worth it. Also a thank you to the Council and their staff and volunteers for putting on a great experience. And a GIANT thank you to the seven boys that attended, you were all well behave scouts, and I received several compliments from other leaders about your attitudes, thank you, thank you, thank you!
