USI Has scheduled a double header on top of us tonight. There is no parking available and the noise is really bad. Therefore we are moving crossover to the Gym at WSCC. This is the final landing spot. Sorry for the trouble.

UPDATE!

I ran over to USI to look at the grounds, and there are a few small puddle spots, but it looks great otherwise. Crossover will be at USI as planned. There is a slight chance of some rain tonight according to the hourly report, but I see nothing at all on radar. So be prepared… bring an umbrella. I think it will be a beautiful night for a crossover ceremony outdoors!

Leaders, Please update your dens if there are those in your group that don’t check email.

Dear pack,

I’m continuing to keep an eye on weather although it’s not looking good for our ceremony tonight. I’ll make an official announcement via email and posted here closer to noon after I’ve spoken some more folks. If not at USI, crossover will be held in the gym at WSCC.

Just a reminder, It is pot luck dinner. Please bring a side and a dessert. Also bring your drinks.

Tonights event is CLASS A uniform. We have a few kids who have consistently not been in uniform lately. Scouts is a uniformed program. You would not send your youth to baseball or basketball not in uniform. Please show scouting the same respect.

It was extremely close this year, and even sitting at the computer watching the times come in it was hard to tell who was going to be the overall champ even towards the end. To give you an idea how close, the average total times between 1st and 2nd place were only about 9 thousands of a second difference.

Congratulations to our new Pack Champ Logan R. of the Wolf den! And congratulations to all our boys who came out to race on Saturday. Its always a joy to see all the great cars and watch the excitement in the boys’ faces as they zoom down the track.

We had a huge tag turnout which I thought was wonderful. We are always glad to have the brothers and sisters of our scouts that spend so much time at scouting events get to be a part of the action too. Congratulations to Mason W. our tag winner who had the single fastest run of the day of 2.9676 out of lane 2 in his second heat. About 5 one hundredths of a second shy of claiming our historic track record set last year.

Glad to see such a close, competitive race. I’d like to thank all the boys who I thought behaved well and payed attention during the event. And a huge thank you to all our many volunteers who made this race possible. It was a long day Friday setting up and we had many, many hands that made it all possible.
